In West Harrison, NY heat, warm air, iced lines, or a tripping breaker isn't something to sit on. We check charge, compressor amp draw, and coil condition before recommending a fix before any part gets quoted.
A refrigerant top-off with no leak search is a classic way homeowners in West Harrison end up paying twice. We pull static and running pressures, check superheat and subcooling against factory spec, and use electronic detection to find the actual leak, because a properly repaired leak outlasts three top-offs.
What every AC visit includes.
Every tech handling refrigerant carries current federal certification — a legal requirement we take seriously.
No-cool situations jump the schedule, most West Harrison requests seen same-day in peak season, even during the busiest stretch of summer.
Capacitor or compressor, the price you approve is the price on the invoice before work starts.
Real detection equipment finds the source, not just a temporary patch.
Six issues that cover the majority of what we see.
We locate, repair, and recharge to spec — not just refilled and sent on its way.
A compressor that hums without starting or pulls high amps gets tested at the windings and start capacitor before we recommend replacement.
We find why the coil froze, not just defrost it and hope.
Dual-run capacitor failure is a leading reason an outdoor unit won't start, and it's usually a same-visit fix once confirmed.
A coil caked in debris can't reject heat properly, which spikes head pressure and stresses the compressor, so we clean and inspect during the visit.
A blown fuse or tripped disconnect can present exactly like a dead compressor, so we rule these out first to avoid an unnecessary replacement.
What to expect once you call.
Describe the symptom — warm air, ice, tripping breaker — and we route the nearest tech and we'll get a tech moving.
Truck arrives stocked with refrigerant, gauges, and common parts within your window.
Pressures and amp draws get measured before anything gets added, then quote a flat rate.
Same-visit completion is typical, backed in writing.

Common questions before booking an AC repair.
The common causes are leak, compressor, or coil and we test each before quoting.
Sure, but it won't stick — refrigerant is a closed system, so if the level dropped, it went somewhere specific, and we'll say so before you pay for one.
Cooling emergencies jump the queue, usually resolved within a few hours of your call.
Not immediately dangerous, but running it while frozen risks compressor damage, so it's worth addressing quickly.
We primarily handle central AC, and can advise on window units.
You're paying for a proper pressure and electrical workup, not a guess — and that fee comes off the total if you move forward with the repair once you approve the fix.
